It's a prototype, but the lore doesn't go much further than that:

Insects ignored the population limit, causing them to occupy other territories.

Ducks, who lived in peace, were disturbed by the invasion of insects, taking their bread.

As a countermeasure to the indefensible attacks, the ducks developed a super machine to nip the evil in the bud and recover what is theirs.
